enjoy the ride

Life is full of twists and turns and ups and downs, just like a roller coaster ride, can we #enjoy?

What if we enjoyed the ride?

Our daughter Katie and her friend Nathaniel went to Six Flags a little over a month ago.  They were born only a few months apart and we know them from Palisades Lutheran Church.  They have been friends ever since.

Katie practically begged to get on the ride in the kid section of the park.  As we got in the seat, they fastened our seat belts and a steel bar went over our lap.  She screamed all the way through and acted terrified, but when the ride stopped, she turned around, and said: "Daddy, that was fun".  I was sitting right behind her. Even though she was scared, she had a good time.  That almost didn't make sense to us.

I wonder if we looked at our journey the same way, we would have a good time too, especially, in ministry.

God often takes us through a journey that has twists and turns like a roller coaster ride.  Ups and downs and straightaways as we are headed to our destination.  #Scripture tells us that God works for the good of those who love Him.  We are also reminded that God loves us no matter what, He is with us and He is good all the time!  In fact, let's thank Him and Enjoy the Ride.

Psalm 107:1 says:  "Give thanks to the Lord for he is good; his love endures forever."
