I think all of us at some point or another wish we could just take a pill or drink something that would just give us the extra strength.
I think all of us at some point or another wish we could just take a pill or drink something that would just give us the extra strength we need to get through certain periods in our life--especially tough times. There are energy drinks out there, but that boost doesn't last. Whether you are a believer or not, we must admit, we need extra strength at times! Maybe you are in one of those seasons.
One of the first things we do is try to solve the problem ourselves, only to find we are still in misery and still in the problem. This is why, we need to encourage one another as believers and those who have eyes on us, that our strength, especially during trying times comes from #God, who has given us power and authority when we confess His Word out loud. This is such a wonderful gift and promise that is outlined for us in the Bible and throughout many scriptures. For example:
Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Hebrews 4:12 "for the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
Hopefully you will find these scriptures today--or anytime--as a helpful reminder to spend time in the Word and be encouraged that we can renew our strength in Him. We are not alone.
